So I haven't been on BlueSky or Mastodon as much because I don't know how to get traction there as well?

Is it wrong to want to use the same tricks here on Facebook (like hearting and commenting on posts to raise help raise other indie comic posts) on BlueSky and Mastodon?

Does that go agains the design focus for those platforms? And if so then how to I reach more of an audience on there. I just don't have the bandwidth to use it like old social media

liking and commenting doesn't give you an edge on an "algorithm" like those platforms do. So if that's your goal, then yeah, you're doing it wrong. Usually hashtagging your posts with relevant tags should be enough to get some traction over time.

Yeah I don't want to come in with the wrong attitude but I do also want to know what I can get out of a platform. Mainly I am just trying to support indie comics, but I have to be somewhat pratical with my time and efforts.
