Anyone have suggestions for cataloging a vinyl record collection? Any self-hosted applications? I'd rather not use a spreadsheet but I'll go that route if I have to.

An #Android or #Linux app would be great, or a web app that runs in Docker.

EDIT: Thanks to @mkj for showing me tellico-project.org/

"I'd rather not use a spreadsheet but I'll go that route if I have to."

The 2024 version of "I will turn this car around if I have to!"

I'm sure there's an app to do this, but I'm lazy. I'd take a photo of each record, then put them all in an album in Photos, add some keywords and captions and done.

I used discogs back in the day, but was also actively selling/trading there, so it was a no-brainer.

Later switched to a spreadsheet, and that's collecting dust these days - should update, 😆

@ttntm yeah it's looking like a spreadsheet or something like NocoDB/Airtable.

@avlcharlie I'm looking for something that holds more data. Track list, year released, UPC, etc. Not just the images.

@mkj hmmm it does have Discogs as a data source! Thanks, I'll look into this!

@mkj ok this is awesome! I can use MusicBrainz and/or Discogs with my API key. Thank you so much!

thanks for sharing! I've been using musicboomerang.com and swapacd.com to list my collection but each site has their issues

And don't get me started on discogs 🤦‍♂️

@avlcharlie
Take a look at Roon from harman. Links out to artist bio and reviews.

Can import digital transfers of LPs.

Not sure who is offering ADCs. Check Pro-ject.
