Colour photo taken looking down a narrow curved Venetian canal, with four-storey grey-white stone buildings on either side, a little bridge at the end before the canal turns a corner, and the crown of a slightly listing church bell tower peeking over the far rooftops. The water in the canal is a dark oily mossy green colour, and the curve of the bridge is clearly reflected in it. The light in the picture is quite unusual - there is no direct light on the buildings and they all look quite sombre and pallid, but the sky above is absolutely luminous, with two bands of white-edged pink clouds against pale blue, like a glowing Trans rights flag over the city.

The canal is spanned at the end by a bridge, on which two people are standing, they are too far away to make out any details and look almost stick-figure like. Higher up, the canal is also spanned by a wire, atop which are perched a row of ten pigeons like a string of Christmas baubles. There is a seagull flying at the very top centre of the frame, like an oblique V shape done with a faint pencil. In the far distance there is a low skyline of houses.
