My project to document the source code for Commodore 64 Elite just reached 50,000 lines of heavily commented 6502 assembler. It's getting there!
I’m *really* enjoying learning about how the Commodore 64 works. I can’t believe you can expose a whole 64K of RAM in one go! What a beast…
Here’s the source so far: github.com/markmoxon/elite-sou…
I hope you like it.

Sometimes I feel like I’m in a living museum. I’ve been supporting my friends karaoke bar since it opened in March 2020, and just like 3 weeks ago I noticed a button in their karaoke system
The system is from 2012 (but still common and kept updated with new songs). It has an IR port and i saw it supports sending photos from feature phones via IrDA to display and draw on on the karaoke screen. I had to test this!
Today I brought my Sony Clie and damn, it still works!

Me on my family’s first computer, around 1993-1994. Macintosh LC 475 with AppleCD 300e, SupraFAXModem 14400, Gravis MouseStick II. Not pictured, we also had a StyleWriter II.
I was playing a flight simulator. I can’t tell from the photo, but it was either Hellcats over the Pacific or F/A-18 Hornet by Graphic Simulations.

I like to follow up my long form videos with a short for folks who just want a quick taste of something. Here's a short showing the gameplay of the Mattel Auto Race game. youtube.com/shorts/fFbnb1YJo2I…

#Nokia did a (soft) launch party for the #N900 at the BFI on the South Bank in London in September 2009.
lcuk had had a prototype, so we were able to do a cool demo: youtu.be/yk27PenpAz0
_EDIT:_ I note wryly that Nokia's blog post about this is now on the #Microsoft website: blogs.windows.com/devices/2009…
N900 to appear in London next week!

A memory board from the space shuttle computer, which was a stripped-down clone of an IBM 360 mainframe. The systems originally used core memory since that was resistant to cosmic rays. This is one of the solid state ram boards from the 1990 upgrade that finally replaced the core memory. There seem to be 656 kilobytes here, presumably a 512k board with a LOT of error correction?

What's so great about the Atari ST?
This article by William Blair appeared in several magazines and newsletters in early 1986. I really thought it captured the vibes of Atari at the time.Paul Lefebvre (Goto 10 Retro: The Newsletter for Atari Enthusiasts)
Smashing the limits: Installing Windows XP in DOSBox-X
A couple of months ago, I tried to install (the unsupported) Windows XP in DOSBox-X. Well, it was not easy.
