I am currently testing some amazing #compressor, #amp simulation, and #eq #plugin (s) by a renowned vendor that previously did not support #linux. It honestly feels unreal to me to have those outstanding plugins run perfectly smooth and natively within #bitwigstudio on #linuxaudio. 🫣 I expect an announcement within a couple of weeks, as the beta testing is still ongoing and minor bugs are fixed. I am super excited about another vendor supporting this great platform for #musicproduction. 🤓😜
Picked up a Thinkpad T14s Gen 5 (Intel) today. Intel Core Ultra 5 135U, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD. It even has an NPU.
I went through the Windows 11 setup to see if there were firmware upgrades that could only be installed from Windows. Then I installed Fedora Silverblue on it to skip having to deal with Windows on a daily basis.
Everything seems to work, even the fingerprint reader. Now to figure out if the NPU is accessible from Linux and what to do with it.
