Some leaves collected from the footpath are now a temporary play area for a boxer dog who thinks leaves are the best thing ever. His mouth is open and his tongue is out after pouncing and pawing and bouncing over the little mound of leaves. Some pink penstemons and orange pot marigolds are still in flower in the garden borders behind.

Holy cow.
We worked so hard today.
Dozens and dozens of tulips were planted and all of the dahlias are ready for winter. Two dozen new fancy daffodils were planted too.
Our begonias are still in pots waiting for me to dig them up to store until springtime. Maybe next week.
Summer was a huge help.
She brought me the new packages of bulbs one at a time so we could plant them together.
She understands the assignment and is very careful handling her part of the project.
I love that she loves to work in the garden.
