While we were photographing bears getting some fatty salmon, I looked behind me for no particular reason and saw a pod of four orcas travelling very close to shore. Seals that observed us all morning were gone, hiding from the orcas.

I often mention to the guests on my photo tours and photo workshops to look behind them. You never know what you'll find.

shouldn't #Orca just work as part of the #Wayland-running #Gnome session?

If not, then the Orca devs need to push for Gnome to help make it work...

“For those wanting to build a Wayland-only Linux desktop experience without carrying any aging X11 baggage, GNOME 47 will be able to optionally offer Wayland-only support without carrying X11/X.Org support.”

How cool… does this mean there’s now a fully functional screen reader for Wayland-only GNOME or should we tell people who rely on screen readers to just suck it up?

Oh, thank goodness not having a fully functional screen reader isn’t a blocker for Fedora 41. We wouldn’t want them to miss their 10th anniversary of shipping an operating system without a fully functional screen reader, after all.
