As someone said once: "It's good if it makes Gruber mad." Or similar.

Well we also knew that Gruber called fedipact folk Misfit Looser Zealots. So we know he simps for surveillance capitalism already.

He doesn't care about how that collected data enables genocide. He didn't care when it was Facebook, so why would he care when it's Google?

he flounced off to Threads when it first launched saying how great it was and “have fun in the library, nerds!” to the Fediverse.

He’s a sad, strange little man

You know, if it truly was "lick boots for money" I'd find it a lot more understandable and reassuring.

I don't think it's that. And I don't think he's getting paid.

I think it's just a natural, knee-jerk alignment with authority.

It would also be more reassuring if he weren't in such numerous company that way.

@codefolio Oh he’s getting paid. Not directly. But he’s getting paid by perpetuating the corporatocracy. They take care of their own.

@codefolio Updated the hash tag anyway so folks don’t get fixated on it :)

he's always very good to side with corporations over any kind of morals.

Remember how much he did to protect Away and their toxic work culture.

Of course it had nothing to do with the fact with how many ads Away had bought from him over the years.
