UN Secretary-General António Guterres announced that 136 UN personnel were killed on duty in the Gaza Strip past year, including 80 staff members working for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.
Guterres said the deaths in Gaza represent the highest loss of UN personnel in a single war or disaster in the organization's history.
Some staff members were killed alongside their families in homes or shelters, while others died while performing humanitarian work.
The Fishermen Committees in Gaza reported that the Israeli navy abducted nine fishermen while they were working off the shores of Gaza City and Deir Al Balah.
The fishermen are Raed Abu Rieala, Ayman Abu Odeh, Mohammed Jihad Al Sufi, Mahmoud Ismail Hajhouj, Zuhair Al Qaraan, Juma’a Al Qaraan, Diyaa Al Qaraan, Ramadan Abu Omar, and Nimer Al Qaraan.
With 96 percent of Gaza’s farmland destroyed, farmers are returning to fields buried in rubble and unexploded ordnance, but Israel’s blockade is making recovery nearly impossible.
In Barcelona, Irish band, Kneecap, raised a picture of Palestinian prisoner, Marwan Barghouti, who has been in Israeli occupation detention camps for 24 years. The audience raised the Palestinian flag and chanted slogans demanding the immediate release of Barghouti.

Since his family’s tent is so small, there is no place for him to sleep at night, so he stays up all night at his place of work until he can go back to the tent to get 4-5 hours of sleep, if he’s lucky. He’s trying to build a space for himself.
