Why wasn't there more accountability for the colossal 2024 #Crowdstrike / #Microsoft outage?

Where is the #government and the avalanche of lawsuits?

Other companies lost over US$10 billionΒΉ, people's lives worldwide were affected, with some even at riskΒ² & countless #IT admins' weekends ruined.

Meanwhile, their #stock price is almost back to its all-time highΒ³!

Because we don't punish oligarchs, corporate or otherwise. They alone are held above the fray, entitled to a painless privileged existence.

I'm sure, however, that the poor guy in the server room, on a 12-hour shift, who pushed the button was never heard from again 😜

Imagine all the rocks that would get turned over, all the skeletons that would come out of the closet, it that were to happen.

Because the defense would certainly get to ask some really pointed questions of the complainants. Questions about their business continuity plans, system redundancies, etc. Procurement too - was proper due diligence followed in purchasing and using Crowdstrike?

Pretty sure many execs would rather set their heads on fire than have those conversations on public record.

That is very plausible! Egoism on the client side is a believable reason πŸ‘

One could argue execs already are skeletons though πŸ’€
