After AI, the next big thing in #tech will be quantum computers that break currently used email #encryption. Fortunately, Tuta Mail is already quantum-safe. 🔒 💪

At Tuta we're not wasting our time on #AI, for a number of ethical reasons 🧵👇

LLMs are energy intensive to train which goes against our goal of being a #green & climate friendly company. Both #Google & #Microsoft threw out their environmental goals this year because of this. in reply to Tuta

LLMs are trained on data which is usually stolen from content #creators across the internet without compensation for their work. This is also why we have stopped using AI generated images.
in reply to Tuta

At Tuta we are focused on #privacy and #security first, not AI-feature hype.
in reply to Tuta

and thanks for that ! I recommend Tuta to everyone I know looking for a new mail host.

Speaking of useful things, such as privacy and security, do you have any idea of how accessible your app and websites are ? Do you have an audit result to share about that ? 😊

in reply to Tuta

can you also rule out you'll ever do Bitcoin bullshit?
in reply to endolexis

@endolexis Yeah, we aren't going to be introducing a crypto wallet.

Tuta is about privacy and security through cryptography, not hype.

in reply to Tuta

not to mention from absolute amoebas who poison the datasets with their entitled ignorance
in reply to Tuta

curious to know how we can say "quantum-safe" as no quantum tools exsit to break encryption (as far as I know).

How does it work ? 😊

in reply to Feu d'jais 🥑

@feudjais Hi there, we have written a full report how how our post-quantum encryption works here: https://tuta.com/blog/post-quantum-cryptography
in reply to Tuta

speaking of, do you know if there was any success in applying AI for cryptography breaking?
in reply to ₘₕʸₘₐᶜₓ

@mhymacx Our cryptography team is currently working on the key migration to complete our transition to post-quantum cryptography 💪
