Oh fediverse are you getting worse? Even this cat is not enjoying the experience. So sad that I have to scroll several pages on the Mastodon timeline just to get to couple of "real" posts

You're on the biggest instance that exists. It's pretty much a complete melting pot of Fedi. Low moderation is done there to prevent bots and spam like that. I would suggest trying to find a smaller, more "niche" community that has sufficient moderation to block these types of things. That alone will vastly improve your experience, I think.

It's not just the volume though. It's the relevancy. I'm sure you don't care about the hundreds of weather bots from all over the world and traffic bots and reddit reposters and all that nonsense.🤷‍♂️some of them are on .social, so those would show up there as well. It's a moderation issue in my experience, but good luck.

I do hope you find the exact experience your hoping to get. It can happen, it might just take some searching and testing things out.

It didn't really occur to me, until I saw your mention rn. That since my migration off masto social I see so much less 💩 xitter reposters. Never linked that to my migration.
