I just received a Filtered Notification in #Mastodon. I looked in the desktop browser Advanced layout and saw it, and clicked the speaker-with-slash-thru-it icon to presumably stop silencing / filtering the notification, as it seems relevant, not spam. (Perhaps I should have clicked the checkmark.)

Now I can't find that user's post. Where would it be? It seems not to be in my All or Mentions timeline.

?

it's possible that it was filtered because it was from a user that is labeled as "limited" on your instance.

I may be wrong, but from what I understand, I don't think you could see those interactions.

In the few cases that I've seen that such thing was the case, I believe it only showed the username and not the contents of the post or reply, which is wild.

From what I gather, it seems that an admin can make someone a complete ghost, without banning them completely, and that's ridiculous.

@BeAware Hmm. Well, it was relevant - I saw a good % of the post in the Filtered column, but didn't bother to actually read it because I was thinking I would ok it and then go read it - but I can't find it anywhere. I would like to see it! I guess it's .. gone?

was it a reply to a post you made? If so, it would appear under your post, but not your notifications anymore.

If it's not there at all, it's possible they deleted it...😬
