Bass

The Bass Rock is an island in the outer part of the Firth of Forth in the east of #Scotland. Approximately 2 km (1 mi) offshore, and 5 km (3 mi) north-east of North Berwick, it is a steep-sided volcanic plug, 107 m (351 ft) at its highest point, and is home to a huge colony of gannets.

At high zoom, the true density of the bird colony is obvious.

one of the best places to see the local wildlife on closed circuit television cameras on those islands is the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick. Since the birds are completely habituated to the cameras, you see them in their natural environment. seabird.org/

CCTV camera on a short mast. Bare land slopes steeply to the sea. A lot of ground is covered in gannets and some gannets are flying. The birds are newly arrived and a fraction of the total population of The Bass
