"Halfway up The Nose of El Capitan is one of the wildest pendulums in existence"--it's called the King Swing! I shot this way back in 2015 with my Sony a6000 (a CMOS sensor camera) and a 70-200mm lens for a 35mm equivalent of 300mm. Still, it's cropped waaay in. The climber's goal is seen in the fourth frame, grabbing onto a crack in the rock face so they may continue their climb up The Nose and to the top.

They are still about ten feet away, however.

They are lying horizontal on the rock face and have yet to pull themselves over the crack.
