I was thinking about the end of that one #StarTrek episode where Spock mind-melds with Kirk and makes him forget his dead android girlfriend. And... what if that happens at the end of every adventure, and we only see it one time?
What if Spock mind-wipes Kirk every time they come back to the ship? Maybe this is how Kirk stays so chipper and able to go blow up another god-computer. He literally can't remember all the shit he's dealt with before.

In my early 20s, I watched Star Trek: #TheNextGeneration religiously on my little 15" TV in my studio apt.
UPN then released Star Trek: #DeepSpaceNine in '93 & I didn't rly care for it. It just wasn't TOS or TNG.
#StarTrek: #Voyager was released in '95 & I loved it & remember it fondly as the show I watched when I moved to Los Angeles.
It's 30yrs later now & oddly, I've found myself rly appreciating #DS9 & rewatching it more than any of the other series.
It gives me the most feels. 😁

I just fired up the 32 year old game Star Trek: 25th Anniversary and it is really awesome that it works fine. I didn't get much into playing it though because I had no clue what to do and will need to read over the manual.
I bought this game (and its sequel Judgement Rites) in 2017 on #GOG -- mainly just to own them because these two games remind me of my high school years. It's really great that I have access to old games like this.

Apparently #paramountPlus decided to cancel Star Trek: Lower Decks, ending with the 5th season.
It's bad enough "seasons" these days are an anemic 10 episodes (if that!), and then they get cancelled while still going strong? ugh..

So basically, Strange New Worlds will be the only Star Trek show going forward after Lower Deck's next season? Then I have no reason to keep my Paramount+ subscription. I will just wait for Strange New Worlds to show up on Blu-ray and buy it to watch.
