I installed #ElementaryOS on one of my #System76 laptops last week and it’s been one of the most pleasant #linux experiences I’ve had in a long time.

I’m particularly interested in using it for writing gui applications and so far the developer guide they provide has been very excellent. I was surprised that it covers internationalization and distribution in the first few “chapters” as this sort of thing is usually omitted from beginner material.

I’m also impressed by how responsive the developers are to bug reports on GitHub. I’ve run into a couple of bugs, posted/replied to issues on the projects repository and in most cases received a reply within 24 hours.
