However, I prefer to start simple, without any bells and whistles, and truly integrate it into my Mastodon. None of the available solutions are built directly into Mastodon or take the right approach. I want it to be a feature you can simply turn on, just like the color scheme.

in reply to Rolle Laukkarinen • • •I'm def open to an algo on the fedi. But I dont like how some of these projects kinda poo poo a chornological TL. Some seem to intend to replace it. I get some people dont like it. Not everyone has to. But also, I get alot out of my chrono TL.
I would like a -separate- feed that has an algo I control. So I can choose between, as my fancy feels. But not replace. It's not a zero sum game (tho, I'm not the one designing it.)

A completely separate feed could be another option, but that would make things more complicated. In my view, people either prefer a chronological feed or a recommendation-based one.
