Cloud Cloak

A dull and damp day, and the hills are wrapped in clinging cloud. This outwash plain is rarely dry but recent rains have left a legacy of full rivers and rushing waterfalls.

A colour photo of a water-logged landscape with a range of hills and mountains under a cloudy sky. Some small patches of clear sky are visible but the cloud has reached down almost to ground level. The foreground is a turquoise stream with many tributaries pouring into it. The ground surface is brown and dark grey soil, bare of any vegetation, cross-cut by rivulets. In the centre of the shot is a conical hill, almost completely draped in mist and fog, but with the tip showing through.
