โ€œFor instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so muchโ€”the wheel, New York, wars and so onโ€”whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than manโ€”for precisely the same reasons.โ€

i love those.
I looked up another one recently:
"Some people would tell you that the mating call of the male Kakapo actively repels the female Kakapo, (laughter) which is the sort of behaviour you would otherwise only find really in discotheques. The people whoโ€™ve heard the mating call of the male Kakapo will tell you, you can hardly even hear it, itโ€™s like a sort of โ€ฆ Iโ€™ll tell you what they do. This animal everyโ€”for about a hundred nights of the yearโ€”it goes through its mating ritual."

from a recorded lecture.
Section "The Kakapo" of https://nokyotsu.github.io/parrots/ of recording "Parots, the Universe and everything". Highly recommended.
