It's dishonest because it's pretending that this is a normal election between reasonable candidates who disagree on policy but support democracy equally.
This is not the case. Democracy itself is up for election. Only Harris is committed to rule of law and allowing future elections.
Trump, in his own words, will be a dictator from day one. You know this.
I was mostly asking as a thought experiment. Like would you still vote democrat if they became anti-choice? More anti-immigrant? Like at what point would you view it as Republican Lite and be unable to support it?
That's not a question just about democrats but every political party out there and if you should vote at all e.g in the bipolar world there's basically no political party that doesn't support a genocide and being an apologist of some fascist imperialist freak.
you’re right that it’s not just democrats. I think everyone should develop a clear understanding of red lines they won’t cross, I’m not saying everyone’s lines need/should be the same as mine.
It feels like in the US we are made to feel we cannot develop hard lines on anything because it’s naive, but isn’t that partially how we got here?
like at work I get a 401k plan, but if I request a plan that doesn’t invest in weapons of war everyone rolls their eyes and explains how all these financial tools are complex aggregates of the market that can’t possibly have weapons of war taken out, but won’t let me just keep the money in cash in the 401k either. It’s like everyone is invested in apathy as the only way
Well that sounds to me like a great opportunity for some union action. Now... about that... there is some choice, virtual or not. It's a choice to "live another day" that you *might* get something out of it down the road. Highly unlikely, yes, but the alternative is far right neolibs boasting about how anti-union they are.
Uhm, take five deep breaths and try to comprehend what you read, slowly.
I wasn't even talking about the democrats but calling the enablers of Palestinian genocide as moderate left, i think Rosa Luxembourg will be screaming tonight from her grave and that a wonderful fit for Halloween.
The Democrats are the moderate left, and "genocide" is a slur: a blood libel. Specifically, it's the excuse used by the "uncommitted" psy op for aiding Trump.
Iran-backed Hamas committed a massacre to spark a war, with the expectation of getting Gazans killed. And with that goal achieved, they're using it to help Trump by attacking Democrats for "genocide".
Thankfully it's not up to party stooges to say if their leaders commit genocide, that's up to international law.
The International Court of Justice concluded that it is plausible that Israel's actions in Gaza Strip could amount to genocide and issued provisional measures.
Both prime minister and minister of defense of Israel are wanted men by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity of extermination or murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts.

It's an antisemitic dog whistle.

Guess I can't please Greek antisemites. Oh, well.
