Step 1: delete your #facebook account
Step 2: delete your #instagram account
Step 3: don't bother with #Threads
Step 4: use EFF's browser extension #PrivacyBadger to block #Meta 's tracking pixels
Step 5: stop using #Chrome - it's #spyware and friendly with Meta.
Step 6: relax and move on with your life, enjoying the massive reduction in #creepy

I saw this somewhere else and did all of it. I thought I was pretty locked down, but I was more exposed than I expected.

@bryanruby I could think of three steps that worked really well for me: delete Facebook, delete Instagram, delete Threads. Delete anything owned or operated by Meta.

I've been shocked at the number of trackers Privacy Badger has been showing me. I knew it was bad, but damn.

I get this from a harm reduction perspective but I also feel that we're wayyyy past this and echo the sentiment relayed by my fellow peeps: deleting our accounts is the only solution. Everything else is an apology. When do we stop giving an abuser second chances?
