Served Over Ice

Fellsfjara is a beach on either side of the river channel connecting Jökulsárlón to the ocean. When the tide goes out, grounded bergs that have calved from the glacier are refloated and swept out into the sea. As the tide reverses, these huge ice blocks are tossed back onto the black volcanic sands.

In the background are Hrútárjökull and Fjallsjökull glaciers.
Hornafjörður, south-eastern #Iceland.

Oh my god! This looks so cool.

And the ice pieces are so clear and transparent.

I love it.
