This incredible cascade is almost guaranteed to make you feel very small if you stand at the canyon's edge. Notice the lack of huge barriers. The ground trembles slightly, and you can feel the vibration in your bones. Keeping your balance is quite difficult.

Situated on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river which flows from Vatnajökull glacier, this is Dettifoss in north-eastern #Iceland.

Wonderful image. There's always this debate, no, pressure to use slightly longer shutter speeds to blur waterfalls. This seems partly a perfect counter-argument, partly agreement... The upper part, where the water is slower, not blurred and looking so huge and rugged, the lower part blurred. I've never seen this effect before. It is... majestic!
