Every time I open Discord I can only think… “I’m getting too old for this shit”

The Fediverse is soooo much easier lol

I've quit using Discord like a year ago and am very happy with that decision.

this is me with instagram and i havent even turned twenty yet. all of this corpo social media want to be the most overstimulating nightmare imaginable just to get people addicted so they can feed them more ads. discord specifically i dont have that opinion cause i am only active in a few servers (dont really like discord tho)

Invidious is one click away with a Download-Option. I can't recall the last time i didn't find something.

Are you guys waiting for a kiss where the sun doesn't shine? Ok then.. 💋

One thing I got really really sick of was the way everyone required you to join their own """server""" and almost all of them had a 10 page list of rules that all were basically just saying "don't be a jerk" over and over then you'd have to do some specific thing to actually be allowed to see most of the channels or post anything and every single one of them did a different thing (with some apparently having a "test" for people, wtf???)

Then you've got 5000 """servers""" in your list that you're in and no idea which one just did an @everyone at you (why is that even a thing???) because you forgot to manually change some server to not allow that.

I'm still steaming mad that so many decided to turn this proprietary closed mess into their sole mechanism of bug reports/suggestions/etc.
