Having second thoughts about creating a #Fediverse platform. I was not aware of the levels of toxicity on #Mastodon by users (even admins) who don't understand how federation protocols work and harass developers with false accusations and even uploading child porn to their websites to get them in legal trouble. No, thank you.

@santisbon@fedia.social don't be deterred! If you are transparent about what you're doing then there's nothing to worry about.
I've been developing out in the open and experienced exactly none of the toxicity of outlined in that article.
I'm continually wary of it, though. I'm sure @snarfed.org@fed.brid.gy still has some scars from his last experience!
