Recording pretend radio shows was a favorite childhood activity. In school I spoke on microphone as emcee or announcer many times. At college I volunteered for Recording for the Blind. I never heard the results but I enjoyed doing it. I also became a college radio DJ & made tapes of some of my shows.

Is there such thing as live audio streaming? Internet radio, I supposeβ€”strictly online, not a simulcast. Could be fun.

NGL I kinda love how it turned out.
text describing an action scene: Metal shrieks, scraping across a worn wood floor. A chair tips back on two legs as it is pushed violently away from the table, then falls over with a clatter. The table crashes after it a second later. The low-hanging bare light bulb, struck in passing, swings wildly on its cord, strobing glare and shadow over the stained walls of the small, cold room. The walls shake, then the floor: once, twice, and then a last, final thump. Keys rattle. Shackles fall to the floor in a cascade of rusty chain and bloodied cuffs. The door hinges squeal, and the handle crunches against concrete as it crashes open. Dust rises from the cracks between the floorboards, shaking with every receding impact down the hall. Silence falls. The light flickers, then fails. In the distance, in the darkness, alarms howl.

Overhead, the trees thrashed in the gale, and the ground rolled in waves. The air was full of the sound of splintering timber and fragments of torn foliage. Above the shrieking wind, was the deep boom of waves. Then, cresting the hill, came the wave. Houses and trees littered its crest. The tsunami had arrived.

Hail pierced the garden of roses like a veil of knives. It was summer, but the white blades were merciless. Red petals fell, staining the now white earth a deep crimson. Not a single flower was spared.

#ScribesAndMakers 9. Which sound in your environment sparks the most creativity?

Silence.
Silence of human sounds, nature sounds are beneficial.
It is very difficult for me to endure silence & rare for me to operate at peak creativity. The next best is me live-DJ'ing music that I love, & often singing & screaming along. Every music playing device I've owned has been marked with paint from my fingers at some point.

Humanism 2, an abstract expressionist painting on canvas stretched to 72 by 54 inches, or 183 by 137 cm. Cacophony of colors and shapes and types of paint. Making this makes for messy fingers that touch music playing buttons! Because when in the zone I do not like to just let music play; I want to actively select the next song to perfectly accompany the mood. The colors of this painting are primarily blues and aqua, teal, turquoise over a large percent of the piece. Other colors that demand attention are bright marks of orange, pink, white, yellow, gold; and just a few dark marks in brown, green, and blue-black.
