Me, yesterday, catching only a glimpse of the performance: "huh, they've got a Boy George lookalike for some reason".
Turns out that was the actual Boy George. For some reason.
Also just learnt he had a thing happen to his vocal cords that dropped his voice an octave so presumably he can't sing any of his old songs anymore. That must suck.

Didn't get to watch #Eurovision this year. This sums up for me why the UK loses so badly:
"The UK is the best at music all around the world. You have the Beatles and everything. So this is not good enough."

The voters *know* we can do better. Yet we rarely put our best foot forward. Established artists don't want the embarrassment of getting nul points (even if it's only because of geopolitics).
They sense that the British treat it as a joke, and respond accordingly.

Romania's "Choke Me" is a catchy rock song reminiscent of Within Temptation. The song has been criticized for allegedly promoting sexual violence.
Alexandra Căpitănescu said: "I have a responsibility to the people who listen to my music, come to my concerts or follow me on Social Media. 'Choke Me' is a metaphor for the pressure we sometimes place on ourselves. It speaks about inner fears, self-doubt, and the feeling of being emotionally suffocated by our own expectations.
