Full-time.
Ugh! BC made it all the way to the 33-yard line, we had just a little bit of a shot at a Hail Mary into the end zone, and the receiver couldn’t grab it.
Roughriders win this, deservedly so.
If BC didn’t concede the rouge, we could have tied this up.
BC Lions 27-31 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Saskatchewan touchdown!
This is rough. There’s 48 seconds left and BC needs a touchdown to win this game. Doable but that’s a tall order.
I knew that rouge would come back to haunt us!
BC Lions 27-31 Saskatchewan Roughriders
WOOOO! TOUCHDOWN BC!
We’re in the lead for the first time this game! And we only got there on a 3rd down, pushing by inches!
Still got a little over 3:30 left, and the game is certainly not over yet!
BC Lions 27-24 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Roughriders reply with their own field goal.
Things are quite intense. It’s been awhile since either team has had a touchdown. You get the feeling that, with time ticking down, something dramatic is on the horizon.
BC Lions 20-24 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Field goal for Lions.
The previous rouge means that Saskatchewan is still in front. Every point matters in this game. And it’s dangerous to concede a point, but I get that teams may want better field position.
BC Lions 20-21 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Rouge for Roughriders to start the 4th quarter.
They missed the field goal and instead of running it out of the end zone, BC conceded one point. Still a tight game but that rouge may come back to haunt BC.
BC Lions 17-21 Saskatchewan Roughriders
BC gets a touchdown on a fast, efficient drive!
There were some passes thrown by Nathan Rourke who is an absolute specimen of a quarterback.
This game is not over. Not by a long shot.
BC Lions 17-20 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Field goal for Roughriders to open the 3rd quarter.
Three more points on the board but their drives are becoming tougher. And that’s a credit to the fact BC’s defence have woken up.
BC Lions 10-20 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Half-time.
No question, Saskatchewan has been dominant. But at least BC is still in the game, and Nathan Rourke is really showing his class as a quarterback.
BC Lions 10-17 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Touchdown BC!
Quarterback Nathan Rourke decided to run his own ball and got it into the end zone! This is now a game!
BC Lions 10-17 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Field goal for Saskatchewan.
We’re back to a 14 point gap. But at least BC’s defence is showing up.
BC Lions 3-17 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Now we’re in the 2nd quarter.
BC on the board with a field goal!
Too bad we couldn’t get a touchdown, but at least we no longer have the goose egg.
BC Lions 3-14 Saskatchewan Roughriders
2nd touchdown for Roughriders.
Lions barely have the ball so far and thus haven’t been able to answer. Roughriders are far ahead. Thing about #CFL is that no lead is safe, though.
BC Lions 0-14 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Roughriders opens the scoring with a good solid drive that gets little resistance from the Lions. Great opening to the season. Let’s see how the Lions respond.
BC Lions 0-7 Saskatchewan Roughriders
Full-time.
What a great game. Any team could have won this.
Alouettes are 2-0 to start the season while Argos lose their opening game. But if you ask me, Argos look like a serious team this season.
Toronto Argonauts 30-37 Montréal Alouettes
Argonauts get one last touchdown.
It’s for a losing cause, but it’s something. And at least they have no quit.
5 seconds left in the game.
Toronto Argonauts 30-37 Montréal Alouettes
Another touchdown for Alouettes! And Philpot got a whole lot of mileage off that pass!
This is basically their game now. We got little over a minute left in the game.
Toronto Argonauts 23-37 Montréal Alouettes
ALOUETTES WITH A WILD TOUCHDOWN!
Montréal blocks a Toronto punt, and then recovers it in Toronto’s end zone. That six points!
But then when the Alouettes attempt a one point conversion, they miss! So this game is still close and Toronto can definitely win this!
Toronto Argonauts 23-30 Montréal Alouettes
TOUCHDOWN FOR ALOUETTES!
And after the kick, they’re in front again!
This is an intense back-and-forth game.
Toronto Argonauts 23-24 Montréal Alouettes
Toronto field goal to start the 4th quarter!
And they needed this because they missed two previous attempts—one at a very close range. But Montréal is one touchdown away from being in front.
Toronto Argonauts 23-17 Montréal Alouettes
Alouettes field goal!
Toronto had to play hard defence to thwart a touchdown. And they needed this because they missed a previous field goal that would have put them solidly in front. They’re still winning but not solidly.
Toronto Argonauts 20-17 Montréal Alouettes
Toronto with the touchdown on a looooong ball!
And just like that, Argos are in front for the first time this game!
Toronto Argonauts 20-14 Montréal Alouettes
Half-time.
Montréal got an interception, made one more push—and almost got another rouge, but Toronto recovered the ball before it hit the end zone. That was close!
My God, any team can win this!
Toronto Argonauts 13-14 Montréal Alouettes
Montréal opted not to go for a field goal, but instead punted it into the end zone. So therefore we got a rouge. Which, if you’re not Canadian, means Montréal just got a point.
What a game!
Toronto Argonauts 13-14 Montréal Alouettes
TOUCHDOWN FOR ARGOS!
That was an epic drive—completed within a minute with some highlight reel catches. This has been an epic game, and now we’re tied!
What’s more, we still have well over a minute of play in the first half still.
Toronto Argonauts 13-13 Montréal Alouettes
Alouettes respond with their own field goal—forced upon them when their quarterback got sacked.
Almost half-time, but Argos have enough time to make a good solid drive.
Toronto Argonauts 6-13 Montréal Alouettes
Argos get another field goal.
That was a pretty good drive, though—and right off grabbing the ball from an Alouettes fumble. Argos got right to the 5-yard line but just couldn’t get the touchdown. Still, this is a competitive game.
Toronto Argonauts 6-10 Montréal Alouettes
1st Quarter is over. It’s been really entertaining so far with lots of back-and-forth action. I suspect we’ll have ourselves a classic high scoring game.
Toronto Argonauts 3-10 Montréal Alouettes
Alouettes get a field goal, pretty easily too. Though it’s due to two incomplete passes in a row, so the kicker had to put in work.
Toronto Argonauts 3-10 Montréal Alouettes
Field goal for the Argos. They were very close to getting a touchdown but the ball was knocked down at the 1-yard line during 2nd down.
Oh well. At least they’re on the board.
Toronto Argonauts 3-7 Montréal Alouettes
Not even 2 minutes in, Philpot makes a 45 yard catch for a touchdown.
Montréal is already cooking. Argos got their work cut out for them tonight.
Toronto Argonauts 0-7 Montréal Alouettes
Now watching Toronto Argonauts vs. Montréal Alouettes.
It’s funny, nobody likes the Argos. Torontonians don’t even like the Argos. They see the Argos as a hick team that prevents Toronto from getting an NFL team—spoiling them from having a World Class City™.
But this is why I cheer on the Argos.
As for the Alouettes, I should cheer for them since I have family in Montréal. But I also have family in Toronto—who hate the Argos. And I look being a contrarian asshole.
The World Cup is a racist, genocide-supporting shitshow latest.
I'm seeing at least three stories a day about this, from withdrawal of countries' ticket allocations, refusing visas or banning match officials.
This is the Senegalese team being searched by CBP *on the tarmac*.

#CFL expansion in Québec City is becoming more likely!
That would be a great location. Would love if Montréal had a rival. Keeps #football fresh and interesting.

CFL, Quebec City investors talking $350 million stadium on Colisée site: report - 3DownNation
Positive momentum is building towards CFL expansion in Quebec City, according to a new report. Sylvain Bouchard, a veteran journalist and talk radio personality for FM93, stated on his show, Bouchard en parle, this week that conversations have been o…3Down Staff (3DownNation)
Boycotting a football match is about as low-effort an act of resistance as you could imagine when opposing an ongoing genocide.
You’d think.
That said, at least you can have conversations like this on national television in Ireland and have viewpoints like this aired.

WHOA!!! 🤯
#CFL just signed a landmark agreement with DAZN, making Canadian #football available to a worldwide audience for the first time ever.
But I also feel mixed about this. It also means that all Saturday night football games will be broadcast in Canada exclusively on DAZN instead of TSN—meaning that you have to pay for two sports subscriptions instead of one.
If you do things the “right way” catching all CFL games is now quite expensive. It costs $35/month for a DAZN subscription and $30/month for a TSN subscription—totally $65/month if you want access to everything.
However, if you use a VPN, you can catch all games on DAZN if you use an IP address outside of Canada.
Nevertheless, it’s a win for the league’s bottom line.
