One of two photos in post. Both are square photos in colour, showing different shapes & angles of a peel from a Satsuma orange citrus fruit. In this photo, the peel is lengthened out in the one, long strip it was peeled in, laid out in almost a sine-curve wave on Maitreya's light-tan, upturned palm. The inner part of the peel is visible, its light-orange, nearly-white, & bright-white inner parts simultaneously stringy & spongy, & altogether amazing. Also a super-high content of Vitamin C! The overhead kitchen-light is reflecting off the white highlights & the quality of the moment is full of pause & wonderment, like looking into a beautiful, ethereal, miniature world.

This photo also shows Maitreya's left upturned palm holding the Satsuma, yet now the citrus fruit has been reshaped into a sphere, as close to the original shape as possible. The convex curves following the concave ones, creating what appears, except for a slight gap in the edges of the fruit, almost to be an undismantled whole. This moment is also a pause-moment, but full of a different type of curiosity. Similarly, that which begs the question of perspective. Yet, here, there is a sort of a 'wink' that is shared with the audience, acknowledging the simultaneous existence in Nature of both wonderment & a perfect sense of humour.
