Is there some kind of list out there of like...3D printing "standards" or "systems" or larger scale projects, I'm struggling to find a good term for this. What I'm trying to describe here is projects where people are making different parts that are all made to work together. Things like the OpenRailway project or OpenR/C, or even if it's just one person's project they make a lot of different compatible parts for like Marble Blazers (basically open source B-Daman toys)

I'm really fascinated by this kind of thing, making 3D printed systems of objects instead of just isolated individual objects, but I find it hard to discover projects like this. Even if there's not some kind of list of these if anyone wants to recommend some you find neat I wanna hear about them.

The story will almost certainly be weaponized by conservatives to argue for removing access to the necessary materials.

Just like with the police, anything you say can and will be used against you by mainstream media.

Just home from an easy trip down to Tampa and back this morning. Just before we left, my autistic adult son came and got me to show me that the guest bathroom door wouldn't open from the inside! The latch broke on it.

Thankfully, that was before we left, so we didn't come home to find our 84 year old baby sitter locked in the bathroom! 😁

So I’m doing this old-school

Modified cardboard box built out of crap lying around my house

Poke a tiny hole in one end, tape some paper for a viewing screen on other, and …

… voila, a camera obscura

I use something like this seven or eight years ago to see an eclipse, it worked really well

I've been seeing a girl for a few months now, and I haven't been able to see her in person for a few weeks because of life stuff. We have a date coming up, so I decided to learn a little about floral arrangement and make her a bouquet (it's in a vase for now, but I'm gonna wrap them up to deliver them).
