Visible, not-overflowing bins help.

a few years ago they tried putting out several huge cubical bins which seemed to work for a bit but were temporary. They were replaced with 2 semi-underground smart bins, however those regularly overflow as the number of bin pickups has been cut. Paesano Pizza on Gibson Street got upset with the number of their boxes that were littering the park so hired a couple of commercial bins (5 years ago now; not sure if they're out just now but they'd be seasonal, and the good weather only just arrived).

That's prevention; on the cure side, #Glasgow Council's 'enviroteam' used to be quite responsive about cleanups over on the bad place but they've not appeared here so you need to use their app to report issues.

Also fork.org.uk/about/ organize cleanups the first saturday every month (of the river area, not the park itself, but it all helps)

Something that I really don't understand is people who go to a public park - supposedly to enjoy the nature, the sun, the possibility to seat on the grass etc.
... and then just leave all their trash behind like this
