Hey fediverse, I'm a pretty long-time Ableton user...I want to move to an open-source DAW if possible. Is there anything that people recommend?

Soft requirements:

• VST/3 support (I love some of the VST synths I have)
• Mainly PC (can be Linux or Windows)
  
  • But I also use a M3 Macbook (OSX)

  
  

• MIDI controller / keyboard support (I don't mind mapping manually)

I can't justify the cost of Ableton, I make music for fun not profit, and I know software development, so I can contribute back.

What's your favorite #selfhosted note-taking app, preferably with #android app support? I'm currently using Nextcloud Notes but want something quite a bit more robust and hierarchical. I'm looking for something that includes native syncing and doesn't rely on another provider to sync notes. Thanks!
