Canada, Russia, and Norway have lots of empty #land which is relatively more habitable than the equatorial region which is rapidly becoming a hellscape due to #climatechange

What if these three partner with China (awesome #construction skills in terms of cost, scale, and speed) to build new #cities in that empty land and rent them out to a #global #organization such as the #UN to house #climate #refugees ?

The new residents of the new cities will NOT be citizens of those three host countries. In fact, if they want to leave those cities, they have to leave those countries, too.

The new residents work hard to raise revenues from which they pay the rent to their host countries. The residents could be chosen in a way to prioritize the most vulnerable folks from the #climate ravaged poorest parts of the world who happen to be also the most conscientious, hard-working, and responsible folks - e.g. young women.

All four countries are better off economically in a major way and don’t have to do bad things such as sell #oil or force their population to procreate and consume more!
The #climate affected get a chance to not just survive but thrive!
