Nvidia are going to spend $500 billion on increasing their carbon footprint.
For context, the UN have estimated that it would cost $93 billion per year to end world hunger.
Anyway, hope you're all enjoying the heat wave.

lol they have started to not use the words "climate change" or "global warming" and now are calling it "fossil fuel pollution" to not trigger viewers.
Here's their text:
"...Such extreme rainfall is becoming more common in a world warming due to fossil fuel pollution. A warmer atmosphere can hold more moisture that storms can tap into and ring out in more intense spurts. ..."
The 'world' version of this is even scarier. Much of northern Asia is also in #heatwave, the Middle East, the Sahel, the United States, and northern South America including most of the Amazon basin.

This is actually terrifying. The whole of the #EU with the exception of Sweden and Denmark is in #heatwave. That means that #harvest is going to fail across much of Europe, and that means food prices are going to rise steeply.

The terrifying scenes we’ve seen so far this summer are the latest part of a pernicious long-term pattern.
Across the world, the past 11 years have been the 11 hottest ever recorded – and with a super strength El Niño forming in the Pacific which could pour yet more fuel on the fire, that trend is all but certain to continue.
The climate emergency is here – and no one can say they didn’t see it coming.

This burning summer is the proof: the voices of climate denial aren’t just delusional, they’re deadly
Look at our blazing forests and parched cities. Green policies aren’t a ‘luxury’, and we can’t burn more oil and gas. People need the truth, says London mayor Sadiq KhanSadiq Khan (The Guardian)
While renewables are cheaper than fossil fuels in nearly all circumstances, fossil fuels are more profitable, because useful reserves are limited and can each be monopolised by a single corporation, while prices can suddenly take flight in times of war or chaos.
Almost all the very rich are heavily invested in them.

(Daily Sea Surface Temperature for the entire World... way off the scale).
If this were the gauges measuring engine temperature in your car, you'd be about to blow your radiator and/or have an engine fire.
