The Grand Canyon & the Kolb Studio, which was begun in 1906 by photographers Emery & Ellsworth Kolb. The Kolb's were hardcore canyoneers. They carried their early--big & heavy--photographic equipment all over the Canyon. Sadly, the building is now a gift shop & the Kolb brother's history has been relegated to a tiny closet featuring a couple of their photos & a short video about their lives.

On the flat top of the finger of rock are two small round trees. They are brightly lit in sunlight. In the background shadow is a much larger cliff face but there is a switchback trail coming in from the left and descending down into the canyon.
