A collection of minor improvements (Feb 2026) - Pagecord Updates
The main feature releases get their own blog post, but there are lots of smaller improvements (and bug fixes!) that get shipped under the radar. Here's a...Pagecord Updates
It honestly is infinitely all kinds of sad that I syndicate my blog posts to Facebook, no external link, and everyone eats it up, but if I send someone a link to my website via SMS or something, I get, "Do you publish these on Facebook? Can I just read you on Facebook or Substack? I don't get why you made your own website. Strange."
I get it that my layout isn't for everybody but that's why I don't block reader mode. That's why I have full text RSS. I give *you* the choice but this only seems to alien people *more* not less.
I cannot tell you how so many people actually want to read my things on a closed platform. I’m the exact opposite. I love personal blogs, RSS, and alike, but average readers, I’m noticing, want to read things on closed platforms. Not all of them of course, but enough for me to have to syndicate my work to close platforms to keep an audience
> "Many personal website owners
deliberately choose inefficient methods
for updating their sites. They write
HTML by hand, upload files directly
via FTP, or maintain static sites that
require manual intervention for even
simple changes. These choices would
be considered backwards in a
professional context, but they serve
important psychological and creative
functions"

Medium-sized news everyone! I did a big(ish) overhaul of my site’s #blogroll page and I've gotta say, it has the best collection of websites I've ever seen 🤩.
It's got a mix of things now including my favorite content blogs, #indieweb sites I think have the coolest designs, a ton of specific things I've found on the web that are incredible, and then a bonus list of a bunch of other sites I think people should know about (and that are awesome too).
Go check it out!
One awesome thing that I see a lot on #IndieWeb sites is "link dumps". We browse the web, find cool stuff and then publish something linking to all that cool stuff.
Shoutout to everyone below for having cool indie sites where you do your own link-dumpin’ / link roundups!

Just a reminder! If you are looking RSS starter packs, The RSS Review has downloadable OPML files for each category. They can be imported directly into your feed reader to subscribe to the entire category at once.
If you want to add a feed or feed category, then post it in the comments.

I've written a little script for the @powRSS account to find posts from the Random section on the site.
The idea is to bring visibility to older blogs which may not have published recently.
This in turn means you can now follow powRSS in your #RSS reader for the occasional low frequency dip into #indieweb discovery.
