Curious what others think:
Miniflux has an option to share a link to an article in my feed. Instead of linking to the source, it links to a special URL that's public to my reader. Other RSS readers, like TinyTiny RSS do something similar.
It feels a little like hijacking a page view...? I'm not commenting or adding a note, it's really just a view of the article through my portal. Is there a norm for this kind of link sharing?
A little surprising to me that #Thunderbird #Mobile doesn't have the same #RSS features as the desktop.
I've been using RSS a lot more lately - after quite some time away - and have enjoyed having RSS feeds right in Thunderbird, alongside everything else.
Not a big dealbreaker but a bummer.

Great news! @chockenberry, the creator of the great #Twitteriffic—which Elon Musk destroyed—is releasing a new app called #Tapestry.
It will integrate #blogs, the #Fediverse, and #RSS into a unified and chronological timeline!
This is a pretty nifty tool!

Skandal!
So I learned recently that there are #RSS feeds for bills being discussed in congress as well as an RSS feed for Presidential Actions (executive orders, memoranda, etc.)
Presidential actions: whitehouse.gov/presidential-ac…
Bills on the house floor today: congress.gov/rss/house-floor-t… (edited to fix link)
Bills on the senate floor today: congress.gov/rss/senate-floor-…

Não ha muitos tutorias atualizados na web. eu nao sei programar. gostaria de centralizar no #friendica muita coisa e usar #rss que não abro mão. Peço pra alguém dessa instancia me ajudar! Vou aos prints.
A reminder that if we love RSS it's not enough to use feed readers ourselves. We also need to reach out to our favorite blogs and sources to advocate for access to feeds.
Many websites and blogs don't provide RSS feeds, even those by organizations and projects that do want to disseminate information and do outreach.

I've been advocating for RSS support, and you should too
I've been using Feeder to keep up with the news for awhile now. For a long time, I just checked AllSides. But then I found out NPR in my state supports R...ReedyBear's Blog
there's an #11ty repo you can use that lets you create an #rss aggregator, those of you who have been around a while might be reminded of dave winer's River of News, but this isn't that sophisticated.
but it is probably a really elegant way to build an impromptu pipeline of posts for future use like how i have saved articles and posts tagged "feed-seymour" in readwise that are stripped to markdown and put into a RAG pile for an AI?
