1,000 Dead In Cyclone!

One thousand or more feared dead after the most powerful cyclone in nearly a century hit the French Indian Ocean archipelago of Mayotte, a senior local French official said Monday.

The monster storm, with winds up to 200 kph, left the region bloodied and battered as rescue and clean up operations began.
