Coburn served as Nigel Farage’s right-hand man north of the border for years as Ukip’s Scottish leader between 2014 and 2018. His election as a Scottish MEP in 2014 was an aberration, as Farage’s pre-Reform UK outfits generally failed to gain traction in Scotland.
