A vertically oriented landscape photography of the sun setting over a frozen over archipelago. The sky is taking up the vast majority of the vertical space in the photo, showing a gradient from yellow/orange at the horizon, to light blue, to deep darker blue at the top edge. The sky is entirely clear, apart from some very small, sparse clouds near the horizon.

The archipelago consists of a frozen over sea with just a little bit of snow on the ice, and a number of small rocky islands. The islands toward the horizon are predominantly covered by trees and the ones nearer the foreground are bare rock.

The sun is in the center of the frame, just above the horizon, casting a pale golden light over the landscape and creating deep shadows where it shines on the islands. There are golden reflections in the ice from the setting sun.
