This is my first attempt at photographing the Milky Way in the mountains nearby #Frankfurt. Definitely not the place to make highly detailed captures of the night sky due to the light pollution, but I like the result, especially with the nice foreground.

I went for a walk by a neighborhood creek and found myself lingering at the creek's edge, looking for interesting rocks. Then some movement in the water caught my eye; apparently I had disturbed a resident crawdad.

Day 5 / Schwarzwald’s Black Lake and Wild Mossy Paths

On day five in the Schwarzwald, we hiked another one of Baiersbronn’s great "Himmelswege" trails. While the hike started along forest roads, the highlight was circling a tranquil, mirror-like lake surrounded by lush moss.
