Why is it always the fucking Germans? It’s not enough that your fucking government is the world’s #2 arms dealer to Israel and your whole fucking country is complicit in genocide but you have to try and cut off the last lifeline many Palestinians suffering genocide have to get help from the outside world.

FWIW: We do not block that (or any other) hashtag! That hashtag is treated no different than all hashtags from our POV (i.e., we do not moderate hashtags at all).
When I (@rixx ) am logged in, I see plenty of posts under the hashtag. Zero idea why they don't show up on the public page, but it's not through any admin action on our end. Screenshot of the hashtag in our moderator interface + a random other hashtag attached.)

We get a lot of reports for spam/donation requests in general. A couple of months ago, we muted accounts with a gazaverified link in their bio -- we reversed this decision when a user pointed this out to us, and have since taken great care to *not* take any moderation action against accounts with the gazaverified profile link, literally part of our mod checklist.
(I can't guarantee that we never get this wrong, but we're happy to fix mistakes if people talk to us.)

It seems to me that infosec is very insufficiently moderated. But apparently Infosec mutes all genuine (and verified) genocide victims.

I suspect it's "we want to keep our jobs" kinda thing, but if your job relies on placating Israelis and their genocide, it's not a job worth having

I explained in German to the Germans what GazaVerified is and does, that they even verify the IP addresses to be in Gaza, and that I personally talk with Palestinians every day. Something they could do too. They could ask for their Signal number and have video calls with Palestinians. If they are convinced that #GazaVerified is a scam operation, then they must call me a scammer too because I vouch for the Palestinians.

The Germans literally replied that they don't care if the GazaVerified volunteers let themselves get tricked by AI. The Germans don't care, they remain convinced that GazaVerified is a scam.
It was wasted effort trying to convince these Germans. I then blocked all of them.

And yes, nine times out of ten, in my experience so far, it’s been a German. So yeah, as someone else said in this thread: instead of being butthurt, fix your shit.
PS. Everyone knows it’s not all Germans. Some of my best friends are German. But this isn’t a problem limited to “politicians”. So please don’t gaslight us about that.
