Carrot is sleeping on the bed in the background, but she's too busy with items on her desk to notice. > Pepper: "So much to do! I need to reorganize my spells, brew new potions, get some writing done!"
Panel 2. Pepper spins around and spots Carrot napping. > Carrot: "Zzz" > Pepper: "How can you just take a nap in this heat?"
Panel 3. Pepper pauses and thinks for a moment.
Panel 4. Pepper stretches out next to Carrot, closes her eyes, and finally relaxes. > Pepper: "Actually, you're right. This heat? Yeah, there's nothing smarter to do than this."

Panel 1. Pepper is lying in bed, looking proud as she shows Carrot her latest invention: a magic portal floating above the bed, blowing cold air. > Pepper: "Check out my newest find! A direct portal to the South Pole! My solution to this heat!"
Panel 2. Pepper leans back, enjoying the icy breeze on her face. Carrot smiles: he likes it.
Panel 3. Close up: penguins start pouring out of the portal, bouncing off Pepper's face. > Pepper: "Ouch!"
Panel 4. The room is now dark and freezing. Ice covers the walls and floor, with icicles hanging from the ceiling. The portal keeps blasting frigid wind. Pepper is bundled up in a thick scarf, gloves, and a coat, studying a heavy grimoire on her lap. She looks annoyed. Carrot's giving her a cold stare while wrapped in a blanket, clearly not happy. A dozen penguins are scattered around, curious, and reading over her shoulder, helping with grimoires. > Pepper: "This seemed way better in my head. Now, how to turn this thing off?"

Panel 2. Pepper is pleased: she found it. She is casting the spell. > Pepper: "Ha! Here it is! Shadowrex Supremus!!!"
Panel 3. A dark monster appears before Pepper. She smiles, and Carrot is terrified. > Shadowrex Supremus: "Shadowrex Supremus, Prince of Darkness, who dares summon me?!"
Panel 4. Pepper has her arms crossed behind her head, relaxing in the shadow, and Carrot joins her. Shadowrex Supremus is frustrated at being reduced to this. > Pepper: "Yeah... Could you just stand there and stay quiet? This is perfect."

Panel 1. At night around a small campfire in a forest clearing, the Adventurer hugs his knees while the Pink-fairy think, confused. > Adventurer: "We made the right choice, didn't we?" > Pink-fairy: "Abandoning baby Pagoda? Not sure, but what could we do?"
Panel 2. Morning light, the Adventurer and Pink-fairy approach the familiar silhouette of mama House and baby Pagoda at a distance, waving and excited. > Narrator: "The next day..." > Adventurer & Pink-Fairy: "We're back!" * Panel 2B. Close-up on the shocked, wide eyes of the Adventurer and Pink-fairy. > Adventurer & Pink-Fairy: "?!!"
Panel 3. Wide shot: mama House and baby Pagoda are surrounded by a cheerful group of happy cute goblins. They swarm around: one wash and hangs freshly dried diapers on a clothesline, another one play and laugh with the baby creatures. Little hearts float in the air around the one at windows. It's clear the houses found a new family. In the foreground, silhouetted, the Adventurer and Pink-fairy stand frozen (and unnoticed).
Panel 4. Back to the firecamp. This time both Pink-fairy and Adventurer are frustrated and look dark. Especially since it's raining, and the fire extinguish. > Adventurer: "If only we had a roof..." > Pink-fairy: "Shut up."

🙏 The @oatmeal's comic on #creativity convinced me to refresh and improve my #painting skills with some fundamental exercises. It's time for me to do the hard work I've been avoiding.

I decided to join @BenjaminBrinckmann generous #MastoArtStudy prompts.

This is my Notan study, which breaks Thomas Moran's painting The Golden Hour into 5 values, from light to dark.

This was also a good excuse to finally start learning #krita.
