A textured and impressionistic depiction of a wintry scene. Three stout conifers stand in an icy landscape with the low rounded shapes of snow covered fells in the distance, covered in snowy forests suggested by haphazard and varying brush strokes. The sky has the shape and light of a moon, veiled by wind swept wispy clouds. The ground is covered in snow also. Everything is done in the colours of the Blue Hour, when the sun is not yet all the way down, and the low angle of it only allows the blue wavelengths of light to actually make it all the way down without scattering. It's rather peaceful looking painting, though chilly. Everything is very slightly at a tilt, maybe suggesting motion from left to right. The textures of different brushes and the paper has been taken advantage of. Signed Sini Tuulia, 23rd of November, 2018, serial number 186.

An ink and gouache painting of an extremely round and fluffy arctic rabbit in its white winter coat, huddling next to a scraggly little bush sans leaves. It's a very soft creature, with soulful brown eyes, the rounded nose and just a tiny bit of front paws peeking out from within its fluffy huddle. Soft white whiskers. It's depicted on the suggestion of snow drifts, the background obscure scribbled shapes of dark branches, and spattered white paint to suggest snowfall. I cannot stress enough how soft and round the bunny is. Signed Sini Tuulia, 28th of December, 2018. Serial number 214.

Clearing out my ancient phone, I also came across Round Bird once again. Here it is, being very round. I used to draw birds all the time! Ink on mixed media sketchbook.

A rather orb-like bird sketched in black, grey and white onto a vibrantly earth tones background, like autumn leaves in red, purplish red, orange, yellow and brown. There are, however, willow catkins on the branches the bird is sat upon. Everything is drawn out in fairly precise black outline, with variations in the line weight, and then coloured in with dreamlike, hazy, flowing together wet ink that bleeds from one colour to the next. Crisp highlights have been added in white ink. The painting is quite cute and pleasantly simple. On the left bottom corner there is the number 298, denoting it's almost the 300th in a series, the date 17th of April 2019, and the signature Sini Tuulia in cursive, all in white ink on a calligraphy nib. The page is still on the spiral bound sketchbook, which is on the same desk as Sini always has her in her photos.

New comic is cooking. This is a contract work and I was hired to draw the pages, so story and character are not mine. Either way I’m really excited about this.
