In other #foss news #digikam 8.5.0 is available. It is now natively supporting Apple Silicon, so Rosetta 2 is no longer needed. Yey! This also completes the switch to Qt6.

A new contributor showed up and fixed an impressive list of Face Management issues: bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=RESOLVED&classification=Applications&component=Database-Faces&component=Faces-Detection&component=Faces-Engine&component=Faces-Recognition&component=Faces-RedEyes&component=Faces-Workflow&component=Maintenance-Faces&f1=cf_versionfixedin&o1=equals&product=digikam&query_format=advanced&v1=8.5.0
Really great to see digikam evolve. (Still waiting for the native apple silicon build to be available via brew but that was already addressed today in github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-cask/pull/192255)
