My favorite of the many, many, many interesting articles that @TheConversationUS has had on the #SolarEclipse: Educators discuss how to explain what's going on to blind students https://theconversation.com/an-eclipse-for-everyone-how-visually-impaired-students-can-get-a-feel-for-eclipses-225955 #SolarEclipse2024 #2024SolarEclipse

#SolarEclipse2024 forecast from #nasa #gsfc #gmao office and timing details from #heliophysics folks

Don’t look at the sun. Make a pinhole projector and observe the shadow of the eclipse if you are without glasses.

It’s total solar eclipse day.

They happen somewhere on Earth once every 18 months or so.

But most people can’t afford to go chasing them, so the better question is how long you’d have to wait to see one where you live.

On average, it takes 375 years.

So if you’re lucky enough to be somewhere in North America experiencing totality today:

Put down your phone & camera during the main event, watch, be amazed, & embrace being made from starstuff 🌞🌑
