Chris Titus Tech has been loving Bazzite! We're glad to see that all of the gamer-focused improvements we make are noticed and appreciated. There's what comes by default and the extras that we make easy to install!
This is also a good look at someone using Bazzite in deck mode for a home theater PC so that it's functionally a console. 😎

ALL CLEAR for Fedora Rawhide and Fedora 40 Beta builds regarding the xz exploit. 👍
Things had stabilized soon after the initial security advisory, but we're now confirming that you can use Rawhide and Fedora 40 Beta safely as long as you have the latest updates or reinstall (which is not a bad idea to be safe).
Fedora 38 and 39 were never affected.

I also highly recommend Linux (as several others do). I'm always shocked how unprofessional it looks when colleagues open the default browser on Microsoft full with advertisements and irrelevant news. That looks so unprofessional and is so distracting.
And it makes so clear that you are the product they are mining.
I personally use #Fedora Linux (with the #GNOME desktop), extremely easy to use and very clean.

I have just submitted a change proposal to @fedora to change the default desktop environment for #Fedora Workstation to @kde #plasma

I want to emphasize, this is NOT an April Fool's joke. It may come as a surprise, given I am the lead of @buddiesofbudgie, but I am just as interested in seeing adoption of Fedora and the greater Linux desktop increase. I firmly believe that Plasma as a default over GNOME Shell would be a net positive for the Linux ecosystem.
Big thank you to @dogphilosopher for an update to flatpaks on Bluefin. Now flatpaks can be preinstalled from the ISO rather than having to download them on first boot in order to provide the intended experience. That means @thunderbird on the dock by default!
Awesome step forward for us to be able to bring you intended apps by default without straying from @flathub

Looks like Hetzner Cloud support was added to coreos/ignition at the end of last year.

Looks like Vultr has it but it’s too expensive. We’d have to charge at least €25/mo instead of ~€10/mo for a Small Web site with Hetzner to make the same ~€5/mo to try and make Small Technology Foundation sustainable.
And I really want Small Web sites to be affordable so folks can experiment and play with them.
#vultr #hetzner #vps #hosting #fedora #coreOS #SmallWeb #Domain
(A few notes:
- Setting up a server and then installing CoreOS is out of the question. Small Web sites have to be set up in under a minute.
- Must be affordable. We need to be sustainable while not charging more than €10/mo.)
- EU-based.
Right now, it seems I’ll have to go with Ubuntu although I really don’t want to as I want the rpm-ostree auto-updates in CoreOS to make the sites zero admin as possible.)
Right, I’m back to focussing on Domain* now that another round of dev is complete on Kitten** and, two years after I originally asked the question: does anyone know of a comparable service to Hetzner Cloud (API, affordable, very quick server setup, VPS) that supports CoreOS?
I still can’t find any. And my attempts to get Hetzner to support it have failed (mostly due to lack of interest on Fedora’s side) 🤷♂️

Now uhh, why does Fedora on a SD card boot when-connected to a USB card reader, but not in the built-in SD card reader port on my laptop? Is that a driver issue?
Could I fix it or is this a limitation due to USB/SSD booting before the SD card reader drivers are even loaded?
