A color landscape photo of two cliff dwellings. The dwellings are made of natural light red sandstone "bricks". They are tucked up under a overhang in a cliff. One is to the left. It has a square door facing to the right. The other is to the right and appears as a brick wall with three ninety degrees bends as it goes toward the back of the crevice. In the middle ground is a large boulder. Behind the boulder is a small sapling pinon pine tree. The shadow of a dead tree is cast on the sandstone in the foreground. A couple of its limbs are visible on the left side of the frame.

Color landscape photo of a pictograph. It shows four figures. (Note: I do not like interpreting rock art because I'm not of the culture that made it. Something that looks like a deer to us may have been something entirely different to the person who drew it. I feel it is cultural appropriation for modern humans to interpret rock art. Frankly, I even have a problem with using the term art for the images.) The four figures appear to our modern eyes as two elk on the left, a large long and fat bison with a small head in the middle, and a person with a bow and arrow on the right. The person is pointing the bow and arrow at the image that looks like a bison. The images are crude and drawn in a red-brown ocher paint.

Hanging in canyon country. :)

Last night, from this location, I was photographing C/2023 A3 with the Milky Way in the frame. I will need to process those photos when I get home. I was a little surprised to see the comet was still visible. Like earlier shots from last week, I could still see it with my naked eye, barely.
