Kitten¹ update

Domain migrations are now live for your Kitten apps.

You can now point any custom domain to a deployed Kitten app. When the first Domain² instance goes live at small-web.org later this year, you’ll be able to deploy Kitten apps in ~10 seconds at <your domain>.small-web.org.

Then, if you want to, you can point any domain to it using any registrar.

The feature is not fully functional yet (do not use it yet) but this is the first time it’s been possible to point a custom domain to a Small Web¹ place running a Kitten² app that was originally set up by Domain³.

This upcoming feature (should have it fully operational tomorrow 🤞) alongside full backup + restore (already functional) = data portability.

2/2 Our analysis shows that Apple:

❌ plans to retain full control over the apps you install
❌ makes any browser choice other than Safari as complicated as possible
❌ continues to block independent operating systems #interoperability

The @EU_Commission is already investigating some of those concerns.
